We had the most enjoyable stay at the Stone Maiden Inn on New Year’s Eve. My husband and I had a wonderful romantic getaway and everything was perfect. Thanks to Pat and Kim for their friendly service, great accommodations and excellent food. We will return!

January 20, 2011 09:29:26 PM This is a must for couples looking for a winter getaway! A hidden gem!
Board of the usual spot in the wine region, my wife and I stumbled across an awesome B&B in Stratford. We called, and Kim (the owner) says there's winter special, $100 buckeroos per night - any room!? (yeah, I know). A no brainer - we booked, and we picked the room online, "Princess Diana". The marble mantle, the fireplace, the canopy bed, the view outside... coupled with a blanket of snow, on a quiet street... it was the best winter getaway we've ever had!!! Kim's breakfast... i expected something akin a continental breakfast, but NO! My wife and I are sitting by the window, enjoying the fresh coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice... Kim surprises us with a poached eggs ("benedict"),fresh cut fruit...
Folks, this is one classy B&B owned by a couple that truly pride themselves. The B&B home is old and gorgeous. Overall, it appears very well maintained and well heated.
Our room and the bed...cozy! There's nothing like falling asleep on fresh, clean sheets.
We're already making plans for a return with friends - Stone Maiden hosts cooking classes.
Best wishes, Kim!
Cheers, C&J

"The Stone Maiden Inn was our first B&B experience, and it was wonderful! Excellent location, great rates, a comfortable third-floor room (a really comfy bed!), a big bathroom, and a breakfast that tops any you'd get at a four-star hotel. Add this to two genial, attentive hosts, and the charm of a lovingly cared-for heritage home, and you've got a memorable weekend. Top marks!

Kim and her husband Pat became owners in the spring of 2010, and not many months later they show the knack for taking care of guests, not only with good advice, but with their superb breakfast dishes, pastries, home made preserves, 24-7 coffee/tea/cocoa, wireless service, great parking, firm beds, and friendship. Unexpected knee surgery led us to ask for a change of room from the third floor to the first, and Kim worked it out with another couple, giving them a break in fee in order to accommodate us. Similarly, she was ready every morning with a delicious, special gluten-free breakfast we needed. Because we were coming during a busy week (Labor Day weekend), Kim took the initiative to send us Stratford's restaurant guide and encouraged us to let her make reservations for us for every night. That was good advice, indeed. We will return to watch this wonderful couple add luster to this most interesting and comfortable bed and breakfast in one of the great theatre and restaurant towns in North America.

The Stone Maiden Inn is definitely one of the best B&B's in Stratford, not only in service but in charm. I had stayed at this inn previously and was turned off by the previous owners but I decided to give it one more chance since it was under new management. The new owners, Kim, Pat & Mary, were the most hospitable and thoughtful people I have ever met in Stratford. I can't wait to see how they improve this Inn ever further than they have already.
The Victorian era building has immense character and allot of history to go along with it, fascinating to hear he stories of Stone Maiden's past.
They served a world class breakfast and even catered to my allergies. Very nice of them to do so since it required an almost completely different meal than what they were serving.
It is within walking distance of the theater, which I always like about it, and allows you to take in their beautiful river along the way. The swans in the river are gorgeous to observe.
I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who is thinking about going to Stratford, absolutely amazing.

I stayed at the Stone Maiden Inn for one night in October with my girlfriend. This was my first stay at a B&B and it really has opened my eyes. I found our hosts to be very inviting and warm. The accommodations were clean and well maintained. But the real difference came with the little touches. The bottles of water in the room, the cakes/coffee always available. The breakfast was nice, and again served with a degree of class. The location was ideal, it was great to leave my car parked for the weekend while being a 5 minute walk from all the action. I would defiantly return to the Stone Maiden Inn and would recommend it to my friends.

My Partner and I wanted to take a quick getaway for a nice long weekend in Stratford On. Having only gone their on day trips for the great theatre. We were unfamiliar with the local Bed& Breakfasts. After searching the internet, I stumbled upon The Stone Maiden Inn. It looked great on line but was absolutely amazing once we got there. We were treated as if we were the only guests in the Inn. Owners Kim and Pat Walsh were the more than perfect hosts! Not once did we feel that we were staying in someone’s house as I do when I have stayed at other B & B’s. We will never forget the scrumptious breakfasts and beautiful walks we took around the property. The ideal location is only a five minute walk to downtown and all the theatres and restaurants. I highly recommend this Inn to all those wanting a beautiful stay for either a long weekend or just a night’s stay.
